Arcarta

Contact: Tom Noon

As the majority of Galleries deal with clients they know well and have dealt with for many years, their priority is to ‘tick the right boxes’, to avoid fines, prosecution or losing a client by going about things incorrectly.

Arcarta’s art-specific tools help you satisfy Anti-Money Laundering requirements, minimise any possible involvement from your clients, while workflows guide you through the Due Diligence process for private clients, companies, museums and more.

Customer Due Diligence reports are created automatically and clients can send their documents to you securely, which are attached to your reports and risk assessments. Everything is encrypted and stored for 5 years.

In Arcarta, you’re also connected to other Galleries, Dealers and Auctioneers, making it easy for you to securely share or request Customer Due Diligence records, while Reliance tools permit client privacy which can be useful when dealing with or acting as an agent.

As it is not uncommon for a Gallery to have had no prior experience in compliance, Arcarta’s ‘Virtual Compliance Officer’ provides access to insight and guidance during due diligence, to help you make smarter decisions.

Arcarta will also tell you if a new or unknown client with whom you’re dealing has taken part in Due Diligence with another Art business, or has purchased Art or Antiques before making it helpful in qualifying any unknown enquirer.

When you’re ready to invoice your client, secure invoicing tools keep you and your clients safe from cybercriminals and invoice interception where passwords fail, while the facility to accept card payments remotely allow you to transact with confidence, protecting you from chargebacks, international currency conversion and broker fees.

Arcarta is an anti-fraud and due diligence network for the Art World and we recommend a gallery trail for 30 days so it may assess suitability.

Katoen Natie

Katoen Natie | NV Van Aerdstraat 33 | Antwerp | 2060 | Belgium
Contact: Aaron Nuytemans – Commercial Manager

Katoen Natie has been a leading global player in logistics since 1854, operating in more than 30 countries with a workforce exceeding 16,000 employees.

The company also has an abiding passion for fine art and patrimony. The combination of 170 years of logistics knowledge and a passion for art, resulted in Katoen Natie Business Unit Art.

In Belgium, the group constructed over +250,000 sqft of hyper-secure, climatized bonded warehouses where we store international collections of galleries, museums, company & private collections, artist estates and auction houses.

Objects stored at our bonded facilities can leave the warehouses and remain bonded while travelling the EU freely. This means that no import duties or VAT apply, even after Brexit. The other way around, objects with a free circulation status preserve this status inside the EU.

Our facilities are unique: for example, our ecological depot is +85,000 sqft, completely airtight, heavily isolated & secured, has a lowered oxygen level (14% I/O 21%) making it fire-proof, is powered by green energy and has a museum standard climat for art storage… while at a lower price tag. We’re making art storage ecological and affordable.

We are also a one-stop-shop, offering viewing/expo/sales rooms, transport, art handling & installation, customs, fair assistance, empty crate storage, collection management, …

We have offices in London, Paris, New York, Miami, West Palm Beach, San Francisco, and we opened our Los Angeles office last year.

In total we have 285 staff and over 350,000 square feet of fine art warehousing.

We specialise in working with private collectors, galleries, auction houses, interior designers, and museums. Last year we were delighted to be awarded The Royal Warrant to HM The Queen for Fine Art Services.

This year, we have just opened a brand new bespoke 50,000 sq ft fine art warehouse in London SW18.
